Robert Tjalondo is a professional event photographer based in Rotterdam, working in Amsterdam, The Hague and across Europe. He is the founder of Rockin’ Pictures and has been photographing corporate events, international conferences and executive gatherings since 2010.

I’m Robert Tjalondo, a Dutch-Indonesian photographer with a background from the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU). My work combines documentary storytelling with a refined, professional approach to event photography and portraiture.

My style is grounded in authenticity, connection and clarity. Whether it’s an international summit in Amsterdam, a policy conference in The Hague, or a personal portrait session, I focus on capturing moments that feel real, composed and meaningful.

My documentary project Faces of Rotterdam premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) in 2025. This ongoing project explores identity, migration and belonging by portraying all 170+ nationalities that make up the city of Rotterdam through honest, human-centered photography.

Through Rockin’ Pictures, I work with international organisations, institutions and brands across Europe, including Erasmus MC, the University of Amsterdam, L’Oréal, the Ministry of the Interior (BZK), NIOD, Euronext, Elsevier, Clarion Events, the Dutch Film Festival and the Red Cross.

Whether you are organising a corporate event in Amsterdam, a conference in The Hague, or an international gathering elsewhere in Europe, I provide photography that captures not only what happens, but what it feels like to be there.
